The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has arranged national level examination for career in Civil Services. By qualifying UPSC Civil Service examination, the candidate will get a chance to start their career in various Civil Services of Government of India such as Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), Indian Police Service (IPS) & Indian Foreign Service (IFS).
The Union Public Service Commission has its main headquarter located at New Delhi, India. The honorable President of India appoints the Chairman and other members of the UPSC.
UPSC conducts examination for Civil Services in two phases: The Preliminary examination & the Main examination. The Preliminary Examination consists of two objective-type papers (General Studies & Aptitude Test) carrying a maximum of 400 marks.
About 4.5 lakh people appeared for this examination in 2014. In the year 2013, the UPSC civil service preliminary exam was given by 3, 24,101 candidates. The examination was conducted on August 24. On the basis of screening test held through Civil Services Preliminary Examination, 2014 on 24.08.2014. List of candidates has been declared by UPSC, who have qualified for admission to the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2014.
UPSC: Qualified List for Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination 2014:
The Union Public Service Commission has taken Civil Service Preliminary examination on 24.08.2014.The results of the civil service examination has already announced by UPSC on its official website on 14th October. Based on this result, UPSC is published a list of qualified candidates who are eligible to appear Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, which will held from 22nd November, 2014.
All those candidates who have been declared eligible in UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam, they are required to register themselves for Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination by feeling up online Detailed Application Form (DAF).
The DAF (CSM) will be obtainable from the website of the UPSC from 17-10-2014 to 31-10-2014 till 23.59 Hrs. Important instructions concerning filling up of the online DAF-IFoS will be available on website
The successful candidates are required to send the hard copy of the DAF (CSM) duly signed along with all necessary documents including the prescribed fees of Rs.200/- addressed to the Under Secretary [(IFoS], Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069, so as to reach the Commission’s Office latest by 07-11-2014. The envelope should be superscripted with “Application for Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2014.” This envelop should strictly reach to UPSC office on or before 07-11-2014.
