Civil Services Examination is a competitive exam conducted at national level by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the purpose of recruitment to various Civil Services of Government of India such as Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), Indian Police Service (IPS) & Indian Foreign Service (IFS).
The examination is conducted in two phases- The Preliminary examination & the Main examination. The Preliminary Examination consists of two objective-type papers (General Studies & Aptitude Test) & the Main Examination subsists of nine papers of conventional/ essay type & there after followed by The Personality Test.
In this reference, UPSC has released its IAS Examination 2014 E-Admit Card on 24th July 2014. Candidates can download the E-Admit Card from the website http://www.upsc.gov.in
The E-Admit Card can be downloaded from 24th July 2014 till 24th August 2014.
The examination is scheduled to be conducted on 24th August 2014 in order to fill up 1291 vacancies for different posts.
The candidates are requested to carry their respective Admit Cards to the examination venue/hall on the date of examination.
Candidates are also required to be careful while mentioning their Name, Roll number, Registration ID along with Name & Year of the Examination which is in correspondence with the UPSC for downloading the E-Admit Card.
