The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has arranged national level examination for career in Civil Services. By qualifying UPSC Civil Service examination, the candidate will get a chance to start their career in various Civil Services of Government of India such as Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), Indian Police Service (IPS) & Indian Foreign Service (IFS).
The Union Public Service Commission has its main headquarter located at New Delhi, India. The honorable President of India appoints the Chairman and other members of the UPSC.
UPSC conducts examination for Civil Services in two phases: The Preliminary examination & the Main examination. The Preliminary Examination consists of two objective-type papers (General Studies & Aptitude Test) carrying a maximum of 400 marks & the Main Examination subsists of nine papers of conventional/ essay type & there after followed by The Personality Test.
In this reference, UPSC has released its IAS (Mains) Examination 2014 E-Admit Card on 28th November 2014. Candidates can download the E-Admit Card from the website http://www.upsc.gov.in
The E-Admit Card can be downloaded from 28th November 2014 till 20th December 2014. The candidates are requested to carry their respective Admit Cards to the examination venue/hall on the date of examination.
It is mandatory for the candidate to take print out of ‘important instructions to the candidate’ before downloading the e-admit card and read the same carefully.
Candidates are also required to be careful while mentioning their Name, Roll number, Registration ID along with Name & Year of the Examination which is in order to verify that no other person is giving the Exam than the Applicant.
