Anna University was established in the year 1978 which was established as a result to offer education in Engineering, Technology & allied Sciences which are as of now relevant with the current trends of the society. The University promotes research work & the knowledge gained there in. Anna University was formed as a result of integrating well known technical Institutions in Madras.
By now Anna University has become a large & highly affiliated University holding as many as 426 Self-Financing Engineering Colleges, six Government Colleges and three Government Aided Engineering Colleges which are thus located in various parts of Tamil Nadu.
The University conducts admission procedure for various Departments as well as Programmes from time to time every year. One of the ways adopted by Anna University to conduct admission procedure is through Tamilnadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA 2015).
Previously we had discussed about TNEA 2015, TNEA 2015 Eligibility Criteria, TNEA 2015 Important Dates & to name the latest one we have TNEA 2015 Application. The TNEA 2015 Application is followed by the TNEA 2015 Selection Procedure. Hence through this article we shall shift our focus towards the TNEA 2015 Selection Procedure.
TNEA 2015 Selection Procedure
- The selection of the candidates shall be based on the marks obtained by them in the prescribed subjects which is reduced to 200 (Mathematics- 100 & Physics + Chemistry – 100)
- Further marks obtained by students in their relevant subjects in the qualifying exam conducted by various Boards or Authority shall be equated with the marks obtained by students in the same subjects in the qualifying exam conducted by state Board of Tamil Nadu through normalization.
- Suppose marks obtained by a student of State Board of Tamil Nadu in Physics is 100 & marks obtained by student in any other board is 90 then the highest of the two 100 shall be considered.
- A merit list shall be prepared based on total mark of 200.
