Sikkim State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education is a co-educational public and private funded university located in Gangtok, Sikkim. It was established in 1995 in accordance with the Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medical and Technological Science Act, 1995. It is the first government-private initiative in the region of Sikkim.
About 46 thousand students appear for HSC Board examinations in year 2014. The Board Examinations for Class 12th Science as well as Commerce Stream was held from 05th of March 2014 and ended at 01st of April 2014. The results were out on 9th of May 2014 with an outstanding result of 77 percent students passing the examination. Girls performing far better than the boys across the state. The total pass percentage for girls was 79.24 percent, while that for boys was 77.21 percent.
Maintaining its excellent record, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas had the highest pass percentage – 94.91. The pass percentage of Kendriya Vidyalayas and public schools were recorded at 94.87 and 88.52 respectively.
In Science stream, the topper was Shikum Hangma Subba of Bio Science scored 84% while the other 7 others also of Bio Science scored between 70% – 79%. Lako Doma Lepcha of Pure Science scored 79%.
The Sikkim State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education HSC examination which will be starting in the month of March 2015. The Sikkim State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education HSC examination results are tentatively going to be declared in the month of May 2015.
