Paschim Banga Gramin Bank (PBGB) is a public Regional Rural Bank. It is situated in Howrah, India & set up on 26th February 2007. This bank was created by merger of three former Gramin Banks named as Howrah Gramin Bank, Bardhaman Gramin Bank and Mayurakshi Gramin Bank. The bank offers microfinance plans and financial services to low-income peoples for helping them to improve their living standard.
This bank has approximately 219 Branches which have been divided into 4 Regions of West Bengal State, namely, Howrah, Hooghly, Burdwan and Birbhum for operation. PBGB is a Government Bank has 50% share of the Government of India, 15% shares of the Government of West Bengal & 35% share of UCO Bank. The bank has also introduced Farmers’ Clubs & Women Development Cell to mobilize more and more women in Bank Sector.
The Deccan Grameena Bank conducted an Common Written Examination for RRBs conducted by IBPS for recruitment for the post of Officer in Middle Management Grade (Scale II), Officer in Junior Management (Scale I) Cadre and Office Assistant (Multipurpose). Common Written Examination for the above posts was held in September & October 2013.
