Duration of the GATE Examination:
The duration of the GATE 2015 Examination is for 3 hours.
Section Wise Break Up of the GATE Question Papers:
-The GATE 2015 Question Paper comprises of Mainly 2 Sections, (1) The General Aptitude and the (2) Main Subject (Depends on your Choice)
-The GATE 2015 Examination will consists of 65 questions, the total Paper (individually) comprising to 100 marks.
-There will be 10 Questions from the General Aptitude Section Comprising of 15 Marks and 55 Questions from the Main Subject totalling to 85 Marks.
Pattern of Paper for the GATE 2015 Examinations:
The GATE 2015 Engineering Entrance Examination Consists of both Numerical and Multiple Choice Questions.
(a)Multiple Choice Alternatives: Just like the famous Game Show “Kaun Banega Crorepati”, where there is one question and 4 alternatives, where the Student/Candidate has to select the correct Alternative.
(b)The Numerical Questions: These questions involve tedious & Complex Practical Numericals, have no alternatives (like MCQs) and they have to be solved manually by the candidate.
Online Mode: However from the year 2014, these exams have to be taken online and the candidate can see the questions in a sequence on the computer screen. The candidates are also provided with an answer sheet so as to answer the questions, together with additional rough working paper for computation purposes.
