MICAT 2015 is a written examination that has been designed to test various abilities of a candidate. Various topics/sections are covered such as;
- Analytical Ability
- Verbal Ability
- Logical Reasoning
- Divergent thinking
- Written Communication Skills
- Creativity Potential
- General Awareness
With so many topics involved it is very important to know MICAT 2015-Exam Pattern , Sample Papers. The total duration of exam is estimated to be 125 minutes. MICAT 2015 exam is broadly divided into two sections. Section-I comprises of 35 minutes where as the Section-II is of 90 minutes.
The first section (Section-I) carries four subjective-type questions. It does not carry any negative marking.The second section (Section-II) is made to test the candidate’s aptitude & personality. The Section-II contains questions on Psychometric Test which does not carry negative marking, other than that reasoning & Verbal Ability, as well as General Knowledge are also present.
Reasoning & Verbal Ability Section is a compilation of 35 questions which are based on
- Visual Reasoning
- Data Sufficiency
- Word Combination
A negative marking of 0.25 marks is imposed as penalty for every wrong answer.
Another section being that of General Knowledge again follows Negative Marking where by 25 questions are asked on current affairs relating to advertising, marketing, films & media etc.
After the written test, selected candidates are expected to go through Group Exercise (GE) & Personal Interview (PI). Candidates shortlisted on the basis of MICAT 2015 are required to appear in MICA, Ahemdabad for Group Exercises & Personal Interview.
Group Exercises is all about a series of interactions carried out with the candidate to review his/her suitability for the communications management industry.
The overall difficulty level of MICAT 2015 exam is expected to be moderate to difficult & hence candidates should prepare accordingly.
