Kakatiya University is a public university & was established on 19th August, 1976. It is located in Warangal in the Indian state of Telangana. The University was accredited with B+ grade by the NAAC in 2002 and re-accredited with “A” grade in 2008. The University has main vision is to introduce competitive spirit in students & encourage teaching and research.
The university offers about 120 programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the faculties of offering programs in Engineering, Pharmacy, Law, Computer Science, Business Management, Education, Science, Arts, Commerce, Oriental courses. Furthermore, the School of Distance Learning and Continuing Education (SDLCE) offers various programs through distance mode.
Kakatiya University has now 24 departments in four colleges in single campus with a network of 11 constituent colleges and 321 affiliated colleges. The list includes 171 old govt. aided, private unaided degree colleges, 66 new colleges, 14 pharmacy colleges, 3 law colleges, 3 engineering colleges, 48 B.Ed. colleges, 11 university PG colleges, 29 colleges offering MBA, and 32 colleges offering MCA.
