Karnataka TET 2015

Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) is carried out by the Centralized Admission Cell (CAC), Bangalore for applicants to be eligible for selection as a teacher for classes I to VIII. KARTET is necessary to become eligible to apply for Teacher’s Job in Government and private schools of the state.

The Karnataka TET exam is divided into two papers:

  • Paper I: Ones who want to be a teacher for class I to V (Primary Stage).
  • Paper II: Ones who want to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII (Elementary Stage).

KARTET 2015 Eligibility

For Paper I Primary Stage (Class I to V)

  • The applicants must have passed PUC / Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with minimum of 50% marks and cleared final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education OR final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR have passed B.A / B.Sc degree and cleared final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

For Paper II Elementary Stage (Class VI to VIII)

  • The applicant must have passed B.A / B.Sc degree with minimum of 50% of marks and cleared in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR passed 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR have passed B.A / B.Sc degree with minimum of 50% of marks and passed 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education). OR
  • The applicant must have passed PUC / Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with minimum of 50% marks and cleared final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR have cleared final year of 4- year B.A /B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed /B.Sc.Ed.

For Paper I and Paper II Elementary Stage (Class I to VIII)

  • The applicants must have passed PUC / Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with minimum of 50% marks and passed final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

How to Apply

Eligible applicants can apply or register online at the official website of KARTET. The applicants have to upload scanned copy of their passport size photograph and signature. The applicants have to pay the examination fees through Challan at any branch of State Bank of Mysore.

KARTET 2015 Examination Fee

For General and OBC category Applicants:

  • Paper I or Paper II: Rs. 500/-
  • Paper I and Paper II: Rs. 800/-

For SC/ ST/ Diff. Abled category Applicants:

  • Paper I or Paper II: Rs. 250/-
  • Paper I and Paper II: Rs. 400/-
