Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University:

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, which is also know as the JNTU is situated in Hyderabad District, State of Telangana, India. The JNTU University was actually established in the year 1965, at the time of its establishment it was known by the Name “Nagarjuna Sagar Engineering College” but later on in the year 1972 it was renamed as the “Jawaharlal Nehru University”

The Jawaharlal Nehru University was established under the Jawaharlal Nehru Act, 1972, and again later on in the year 2008 it was split again into 4 colleges namely as the Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (Anantapur), Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (Hyderabad) and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (Kakinada)

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University has been accredited and accorded with the “A Status” from the “National Assessment and Accreditation Council”.

Administration of the JNTU:

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University comprises of several affiliated colleges and institutes. The primary and main council members consists of the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Rector, Executive Council and the Academic Senate.

The Governor of Telangana State is actually the Chancellor of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and the Current Vice Chancellor is Rameshwar Rao. The first Vice Chancellor of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University was D.N. Reddy.

Courses and Programs Offered:

(a)Undergraduate Programs and Courses:

The JNTU University offers a wide array of several programs and courses in several streams of Engineering. The JNTU University is an institution that has had a very impressive track record of academic and research oriented programs and courses

The University offers almost more than 25 Undergraduate Courses and Programs, most of them are in the streams of Engineering such as the Automobile Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Bio Technology Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Instrumentation Control Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering Etc.

(b)Post Graduate Programs and Courses:

The JNTU University offers a total of 77 Post Graduate Programs and Courses in several streams of Engineering such as MSIT, M.Tech, MCA and M.Sc. The primary and major branches that are offered are Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bio-Technology, Electronic and Communication Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Nano Technology, Environmental Studies, Food Technology, Microbiology, Computer Applications, and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University also conducts the JNTU PACET Engineering Entrance Examinations every year for the purpose of admitting/offering students to its several Engineering Courses and Programs.

This Entrance Test is conducted in the month of either June or July and the Upcoming JNTU PACET 2015 examinations also be conducted in the June or July 2015.
