The National Eligibility Test (NET) is a national level exam conducted in India by the University Grants Commission (UGC). This test enables Post Graduate students to qualify for University level teaching jobs in India as well as seek admissions in PhD level Programmes. The test ensures that a candidate qualifies for the minimum standards in the teaching profession and research. The test is conducted in Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science.
Having stated the number of subjects for NET, now the question arrives as to How to prepare for NET exam? the NET exam is held twice in a year i.e in June & December. It is recommended that candidates start the preparation for NET exam some good six months before in order to score the maximum.

1. Know your syllabus well
It is advisable that candidates run through the syllabus properly & prepare each topic accordingly. Do not take the risk of leaving any topic.

3. Preparing personal notes
Preparation of notes is an important aspect as that completes half of your preparation, that shall help you while revising.
4. Refer to Past Year Question Papers
It is good to refer past year’s question papers but never expect the exact same questions & don’t rely on them completely. Past year question papers are their only for guidance purpose & to provide you idea as to how the question paper shall appear exactly.
5. Management of time
This being one of the most important aspects till date. Managing time is equally important as preparing for any subject. Utilize your time to maximum output production. Prepare some strategy as to how the questions shall be solved in a given frame of time.
