GRE 2015

Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is comprehensive test, whose test scores are accepted for admission to graduate and business school all around the world. GRE is modified General Test taken by individuals applying to various graduate and business school programs in United States and other countries. This test is managed by the Educational Testing Service (ETS), GRE is available at about 700 centers in over 160 countries.

GRE Eligibility

There is no precise eligibility standard for GRE. Graduate and Business schools applicant from around the world interested in pursuing Masters, MBA or specialized master’s in business or doctoral degree course can take GRE universal test. Still, various universities that accept GRE scores have their own criteria of admission.

How to Apply

Eligible and interested applicants can register or apply through any of the three modes that is:

  1. Through Online Mode
  • Create a My GRE Account on the GRE website.
  • Log in to your My GRE Account and click ‘Register for the General Test’. You can see the available dates and centres and select them.
  • Pay the fees online through American Express, MasterCard or a Visa credit card.
  • The reporting time and the test center address will be mailed to you.
  1. Through Phone
  • Call the Regional Registration Centre (RRC) of Prometric India on 0124- 4147700 minimum 3 business days before your preferred test date.
  • Pay the fees trough an American Express, MasterCard or a Visa credit card. You have to share your credit card details over the phone.
  • A confirmation number, reporting time and the test center address will be given to you.
  1. Through Mail
  • Download the International Test Scheduling Form here. Fill in all the details correctly.
  • Prepare a dollar Demand Draft (DD) of US $185 in favour of ETS-GRE from any nationalized bank.
  • Mail the International Test Scheduling Form, Demand Draft and a photocopy of your passport to: Prometric, 2nd floor, DLF Infinity Tower–A, Sector 25, Phase II, DLF City Gurgaon, Haryana 122002, India.

Important Dates

The computer-based GRE can be taken once every 21 days, up to five times within any continuous period of 12 months. This includes test attempts in which the score was cancelled by the candidate.
