GCET 2015 stands for Goa Common Entrance Test. This common entrance test is being conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa. The GCET 2015 is also popularly known as Goa CET 2015.  This is a State level common entrance examination being conducted for admissions in various Institutions which located in Goa & offer variety of Under Graduate courses in the field of Medical, Engineering, Architecture, Technology and Homeopathy.

Admissions are open to Professional Degree Programmes in Goa State for the academic year 2015-16. Professional courses like MBBS/BDS/BHMS/B.E & B.Pharm are open for admissions in the academic year 2015-16. The selection is done on the basis of GCET 2015 entrance examination.

The DTE Goa has announced recently the notification about the date of examination for the admission procedure to MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BE, B.Tech, B.Pharm and B.Arch courses.  GCET 2015 is supposed to be conducted on 5th May 2015 & 6th May 2015.  GCET 2015 Eligibility Criteria

Before filling up the application form, candidates are advised to read the eligibility criteria carefully. GCET 2015 Eligibility Criteria information is as follows;

  • In order to apply for GCET 2015, candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on 31.12.2015 specifically for Medical courses. As far as Engineering, Pharmacy & Architecture courses the age limits are not specifically required. 
  • For medical courses, the candidates must have passed Standard 12th (HSC) of Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Examination or its equvivalent with English & must have secured atleast 50% marks (40% for reserved category & 45% for PH candidates)  in Physics, Chemistry & Biology. 
  • For Engineering courses, the candidates must have passed Standard 12th (HSC) of Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Examination or its equvivalent with English, Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects & must have secured atleast 45% marks (40% for reserved category) in total of  Physics, Mathematics & the optional subject Chemistry & Biotechnology, Computer Science or Biology.
  • For Pharmacy courses, the candidates must have passed Standard 12th (HSC) of Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Examination or its equvivalent with English, Physics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects & secured atleast 45% marks (40% for reserved category) in total of Physics, Chemistry & the optional subject Mathematics, Biotechnology, Computer Science or Biology. 
  • Getting admission to B.Arch Programme, it is necessary that candidates must have passed the NATA entrance exam with valid scores. The candidates must have passed Standard 12th (HSC) of Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Examination or its equvivalent.
