GATE 2015 Cut Off:
The “Gradual Aptitude Test in Engineering” (GATE) Examinations are conducted every year on a nationwide basis. This is an engineering entrance examination which is mandatory to appear, for all those students and candidates who wish to seek admission to the Engineering Post Graduate Courses & Programs.
Only those Candidates & Students who have cleared and passed out the GATE Entrance Examinations are eligible to be admitted to the Centralized Public Colleges and Universities. The GATE Engineering Entrance Examination are conducted every year in the month of January or February.
The GATE 2015 Engineering Entrance Examinations have just been concluded last month in February and the results are expected to be declared in the month of March 2015. The dates for the GATE 2015 Results have already been declared, which is 12th March 2015. Click here for the GATE 2015 results.
GATE 2015 Cut Off:
“Cut off” this term is usually defined as the “Minimum Required Marks” which is required to be obtained by every Candidate who wants to seek admission in the best Engineering Post Graduate Universities and Colleges in India.
The GATE 2015 Cut Off is the benchmark or the minimum criteria which is decided by the IITs Admission Committee for selecting and short listing Candidates and Students to be admitted to the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs).
To put it in other words, if any Candidate or any Student is not able to score or obtain this minimum marks then he / she will not be eligible to be admitted to the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) which are situated across the Country.
The Merit list or the Cut off list will only include the names of those Candidates and Students who have appeared for the GATE 2015 Engineering Entrance Examinations. The GATE 2015 Cut Off list will be declared only after the declarations of the GATE 2015 Results.
The GATE 2015 Cut Off would be decided on the number of factors namely that of list of vacancies in the colleges and universities, the norms and the rules of reservation, the total number of the Candidates that have appeared and passed, total number of colleges & institutes that have participated in the GATE Exams Etc.
The GATE 2015 Cut Off will be declared and issued by the Committee of the Institute of Technology (IITs) for every stream or subject of the GATE 2015 Examinations. (e.g. mechanical Engg; chemical Engg etc).
