### eLitmus Test Syllabus:

The eLitmus test comprises of about 3 sections from which all the questions in the eLitmus test are asked from, the 3 sections given are given below:

1. Quantitative Aptitude Section
2. Problem Solving / Reasoning Section
3. Verbal Ability Section

### (1)Quantitative Aptitude Section Syllabus:

The following given below is the syllabus for the Quantitative Aptitude Section for the eLitmus Test paper:

• Number Systems
• Averages
• Percentage & Interest
• Time, Speed & Distance
• Geometry
• Coordinate Geometry
• Logarithms
• Probability
• Permutations & Combinations
• Other Miscellaneous questions from several chapters

### (2)Problem Solving / Reasoning Section Syllabus:

The following given below is the Syllabus for Problem Solving / Reasoning Section for the eLitmus test:

• Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) based upon the chapter / topic of Data Tabulations
• Cryptarithmetric Problems
• Arrangement based Questions
• Bar Graphs / Pie charts
• Other Miscellaneous questions from several chapters

### (3)Verbal Ability Section Syllabus:

The following given below is the Syllabus for Verbal Ability Section for the eLitmus test:

• Multiple Choice Questions related to Grammatical Concepts
• Comprehension Questions bases on Paragraphs
• Fill in the Blanks

### eLitmus Test Paper Pattern:

The following given below is the eLitmus test Paper Pattern, it contains all the details with respect to the nature of questions asked in the eLitmus Test exam, the list of topics from which the questions which will be asked etc.

• eLitmus Test comprises of 3 sections, namely: (i) Quantitative Section, (ii) Verbal Section & (iii) the Reasoning Section. The total eLitmus test or pH test comprises of 600 marks in aggregate, however there is no surety that each section may carry equal weightage, the pattern of the test may be subject to variation at the discretion of the Authority.
• Each and every question in the eLitmus Test / pH Test is of the nature of “Multiple Choice Questions” (MCQs) where every question will have 4 alternatives and the candidate will have to select the correct or the nearest alternative, amongst the 4 given.
• All the question which are asked in the eLitmus Test / pH Test will have several levels of difficulty according to the number of questions which are asked in the eLitmus Test / pH Test.
• Most of the questions which are asked in the eLitmus Test / pH Test, comprise of the subjects, namely: Mathematics & English. The level of these 2 subjects: Mathematics & English are of the high School examination.
• Also all the Candidates are required to note, that the formulae for all mathematical questions will be provided itself in the eLitmus Test / pH Test question paper. So candidates don’t have to bother or worry about memorizing the mathematics formulae for the eLitmus Test / pH Test.

### Duration of the eLitmus Test / pH Test:

• The eLitmus Test / pH Test has duration of 2 Hrs or 120 minutes, the candidate will have to answer a total of 60 questions in the eLitmus Test / pH Test.

### Scores / Marks of the eLitmus Test / pH Test:

• The eLitmus Test / pH Test Marks or Scores will only display and reflect the correct alternatives which have been answered. The eLitmus Test / pH Test also states and displays the level of difficulty which the candidate is capable of answering.

### Negative Marking in the eLitmus Test:

• If the Candidate has answered more than 25% of the questions incorrectly than for the rest of every wrong answer 0.5 marks would be deducted.
• So till the candidate does not answer incorrectly up to 25% of the total questions in the eLitmus Test questions paper there would be no negative marking at all.
• Also all the candidates are required to note that the negative marking would only be section wise and not for the entire question paper. So if the candidate has answered incorrect questions more than 25% in any section then the negative marking would be only for that section and not the entire question paper.
