Syllabus and Paper Pattern for CEED 2015


Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is an entrance examination held by Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) for admission to Master of Design (M.Des.) and PhD programmes in Design at some of the well known institutes like IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Kanpur.

CEED Test Pattern

The CEED test is divided into two parts: Part A and Part B. Each part has 50 questions. The weight-age of each question is 2 marks. There is 0.5 negative marking for incorrect answer.

  • Part A- This part is basically a screening test in which you need to aim to score high to be at least eligible for the next section. One hour is allotted for this section.
  • Part B – The marks scored in this section will be used to calculate the merit list. This section will have questions on design and hand drawing. Two hours will be allotted for this section.
