Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education is a Board of education established in 1971. It is located at Nampally, Hyderabad.
The board regulates and supervises the system of Intermediate education in Andhra Pradesh State. It executes and governs various activities that include
- devising of courses of study
- prescribing syllabus
- conducting examinations
- granting affiliations to colleges and
- providing direction
- support and leadership for all educational institutions under its jurisdiction.
Honorable Minister of the State for Secondary Education acts as Chairman and Secretary to Government, Secondary Education as Vice-chairman of the board.
About 13 lakh students appeared for SSC Board examinations in year 2014. The Board Examinations for Class 10th was held from 27th of March 2014 and ended at 17th of April 2014. The results were out on 30th of May 2014 with 88.86 percent students passing the examination. Girls performing better than the boys across the state. Out of the total students, the pass percentage among girls is 89.33 per cent while that of boys has reached 87.82.
East Godavari district has topped the list with 96.26 per cent, followed by Kadapa and Warangal districts. Adilabad district stands at the bottom with 68.31 per cent.
The Andra Pradesh State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education SSC examination which will be starting from 26th of March 2015 and will end by 16th of April 2015. The Andra Pradesh State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education SSC examination results are tentatively going to be declared in the month of May 2015.
