Acharya Nagarjuna University is an affiliating University. It was launched on 11th September, 1976 by the former President of India, Sri Fakruddin Ali Ahmed. The University started with only 10 post-graduate courses in the University College. The University is sponsored by the U.G.C., recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (A.I.U) and the Associations of the Common Wealth University (A.C.U) and accredited by NAAC in 2003 at B++. It has affiliating University with over 450 U.G., P.G. and Professional Colleges.
Acharya Nagarjuna University offers special center named Centre for Distance Education (CDE) that was locate in Acharya Nagarjuna University campus. CDE propose excellence education at a reasonable cost all the way through a wide network of Study Centers. This facility provides convenience to the students who are lived outside.
Presently, The Acharya Nagarjuna University proffers post-graduate education in 47 courses in affiliated colleges. Those courses are as,

Acharya Nagarjuna University conducted Examinations twice a year in May and December. The university was held Revaluation examination for M.B.A. 1st & 3rd Sem students in February 2014. The University has been published the result for the same on website.
